it was quite an informative session and i learned a lot from this session…. the group did a good job at giving the class an overall framework and procedure of head hunting… many of the queries in my mind were cleared by the group members… the best thing was that the group prepared their slides and notes in such a way that we didn’t have many questions to ask as they had already been explained in the presentation and discussion… although i am not looking forward to opening a firm on my own i might take the experience i got from the information shared to further help me find the right and most suitable candidate for my company and if need be i might even talk to one of the established head hunting firms in the market…. good job guys…. all the best from me
The session on Head Hunters (HH) and Executive Recruitment (ER) was fairly comprehensive. The experience of Ayesha and Waqaas who are already working professionals was quite insightful. Much of the internal working of the HH and ER was presented and later came under the very interesting class discussion that followed the presentation.
What came as a surprise was the enumeration at the entry level in the HR consultancy firms. However, it seems that the bottom line for success in this line of business depends almost entirely on personal relationships and contacts and not so much on professionalism – rather a surprise.
Good Job
In the last secession, the group presented very well as we had people who are working with H.R consultancy firms, which gave me a clear view of, what is head hunting is all about and how executive search is done. Through out the presentation was explained with examples, which made good understanding.
And in class discussion what ever been asked was answered briefly and more over question and answer secession made lots of thing clear.
I appreciate your efforts guys, Good work.
Presentation was very brief and the group explained each and every aspect of head hunting clearly and I have learnt that head hunters play very important role in the mass hiring …… and the efforts made by the group are appreciate able…..
The presentation given by our classmates was very good they explain the points with example which was really helpful to understand. I have just heard the term head hunting but after attending this session i actually understand about it and learn in depth that what is the role played by head hunters for organizations.
The presentation explained us about head hunting, the role of head hunting in a recruitment and hiring process , group explained the whole topic by answering all the questions of the class mates .It was a very nice presentation.
The presentation presented by the group last week was very informative as i got to know about the head hunters and their job. They play a very important role in bringing new candidates that would bring in new ideas. We learnt about the role and their importance in our country Pakistan.
I enjoyed the session very much.
The presentation was basically about headhunters job and it gave me an insight to how they do it and in what ways. Moreover,it also explained that how these consulting firms market themselves to an organization and it was very learning as we discussed alot of examples in that session related to it.
A very comprehensive presentation by ayesha and her group gave me an insight into head hunting and it’s crucial role during recruitment and selection. It gave me a clear idea about how head hunting operates in Pakistan. The feedback session followed after the presentation was also very informative. To sum up all it was a very insightful presentation
The presentation on Head hunters and Executive search was very informational and educating. It showed us the processes being done. If we desired to have our own business of head hunting in future, it gave some insightful knowledge just with a simple start up of a computer / laptop. Well done, Team Asyha, Butta and Noor!
The presentation was really insightful. It cleared many of the queries I had regarding head hunting. Good job!
This session gave an idea of the head hunting process, what it actually was. It was a very informative session, till now I was under the impression that head hunters are responsible for the actual placement of the employee in the organization I didn’t know that head hunters are not involved in the actual negotiation process between the candidate and the organization. Like these a lot of other things were made clear in this session.
The session was really informative. I didn’t have complete knowhow of how head hunting proceeds but after this session I m very clear about it. The class was really interactive and the memmers were well prepared and gave the answers to the questions in detail. Also we came to know that the role of head hunter is only upto finding the right candidate and not further… the later process of negotiation and placement is handled by the HR of the organisation. As Ayesha is herself employed at HR firm she was able to explain the insight and the process clearly. We also learnt about the firms playing the role of Head Hunting and their websites. Also, Margaret also gave the example of an employee of Engro, young man(don’t remember his name) who has stepped in this business and is successful which was really inspirational for us that anyone of us can persue a career in this field if interested..:)
Thank You all of you for your comments on our presentation. I was waiting for the weekend to pass so that everyone can comment and I can answer any thing that I feel is unclear.
@Samina : Thank You for your appreciation. Just the point I would like to clear, The remuneration depends on the individual as it depends solely on the performance of him/her. The starting is low but with in few months it grows immensely depending upon the performance. Moreover the commissions are far more than fixed one. So if a healthy amount is needed to be earned at the end of month, you need to perform.
Success in the short run depends upon relationships but in the long run, professionalism plus relationships is the key to success. Relationships is the gate to success but to sustain and remain in it, professionalism is very important.
@Farhan : I would like to clear your comment here…Mass hiring is different from executive search. Mass hiring is an entirely different topic, a different approach and way of working. If you need any clearance on it further, you can contact me.
@Margaret : Thank You for your appreciation. Just to clear the point, starting up with only a laptop can work in the short run but to expand and be competitive creating a niche in the long run requires a physical set up, standards, procedures and affiliations.
I really appreciate the comments by the class. Thank You so much every one.
Just to sum up, Head hunters are the connecting bridge between the organization and the candidate. They are the connecting bridge specifically for the positions vacant at the respective organizations. Some people think that headhunters can place them any where once a resume is forwarded to them. Let me make it clear that we give the candidate an entry in to the organization, it is the job of the candidate to sell himself/herself. Headhunters do not ensure employment to the job specifically discussed with the candidate. They do push a candidate and negotiate with the employer to re-consider some cases if the employer does not have strong justifications to reject anyone.
Any ways I can go on and on speaking about it as their are numerous issues, cases and things to consider in this industry. Feel free to contact me at aysha@hrs-int.com for any queries that you might have. Thank You
